1. Agreement
By purchasing a firearm, firearm part, or regulated accessory from Scott’s Outdoor Gear (“we”, “us”, or “Seller”), you agree to these Firearms Terms & Conditions and our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. Lawful Purchase — Condition of Sale
All firearm sales are expressly conditional upon the purchaser’s compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, and successful completion of any required transfer procedures (including transfer through a Federal Firearms Licensee, or FFL).
We will not ship firearms or ammunition to any address where receipt would be unlawful. If a sale cannot be completed lawfully, the order will be canceled.
3. Age and Eligibility
You represent and warrant that you meet the minimum age and eligibility requirements which are (handguns and ammo 21 years of age). (Rifle and shotgun and ammo-18 years of age). under federal and applicable state law to purchase the firearm(s) or Ammo you order. Prior to purchase you must provide any identification or documentation to Scott’s Outdoor Gear or the FFL to complete a lawful transfer.
4. Transfer Process (FFL)
For firearms requiring transfer through an FFL:
- We ship only to a valid FFL business designated by you.
- The FFL is responsible for completing required paperwork, background checks, and transfer procedures.
- Scott’s Outdoor Gear is not responsible for delays or denials caused by ineligibility or failure to provide proper documentation.
5. No-Refund / Returns Policy (Firearms)
Read Carefully:
- Change of mind: Firearms are not eligible for return or refund once the FFL has transferred the firearm to the buyer.
- Defects / Damage: If a firearm arrives damaged or defective, contact us immediately. We will coordinate with the manufacturer and FFL to determine an appropriate remedy (repair, replacement, or refund consistent with manufacturer warranty).
- Orders that cannot be lawfully completed: If Scott’s Outdoor Gear or your FFL determines that completing a sale would violate law, the order will be canceled. In such cases, we will issue a refund or store credit as described in the cancellation notice. We will not complete a prohibited transfer.
6. Prohibited Orders, False Statements, and Straw Purchases
Federal law prohibits knowingly making false statements or engaging in “straw purchases.” Any suspected fraudulent order will be canceled, and Scott’s Outdoor Gear may cooperate with law enforcement.
7. Payment, Authorization, and Chargebacks
- Payment is authorized at the time of order placement. Final settlement occurs after lawful completion of the transfer.
- Chargebacks filed for completed, lawful transfers will be disputed. Repeated or improper chargebacks may lead to account restrictions or legal action.
8. Shipping & Title
Title to a firearm passes in accordance with applicable law upon completion of the FFL transfer. We will not ship to an address where receipt would be unlawful. Risk of loss during shipment follows the carrier’s terms until a lawful transfer is completed.
9. Cancellation by Buyer
Buyers may cancel orders before shipment. After shipment or transfer, cancellations are not accepted except for manufacturer defects or damage (see Section 5).
10. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Your State]. To the extent any provision conflicts with federal or state law, that law shall control.
11. Changes to Terms
Scott’s Outdoor Gear may modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective upon posting, with the updated “Effective Date” listed above.
